Max J. Smith, Jr. is a partner with JSDC Law Offices and a graduate of Juniata College. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. Max is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
At JSDC his practice focuses on all aspects of family law, with an emphasis on child custody, divorce and support. His thirty years of experience in family law is highlighted by a custody case that found him working closely with local, state and federal officials to successfully return four children to their mother after being abducted by their father and taken to the Middle Eastern country of Jordan. He is a member of the Family Law divisions of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association, through which he regularly performs pro bono work. He is also a licensed real estate title insurance agent and practices real estate law.
Outside of JSDC, he serves as vice-president of the Linglestown Baseball and Basketball Association and a member of the Central Pennsylvania Umpires Association. He resides in Lower Paxton Township and is married with three children.
